EXCESS STORM DEBRIS - DISPOSAL OPTIONS Posted on: 2018-08-13
As a result of the wind and hail storms recently, some homes may have more yard and garden debris than normal at this time of the year.
Here are your disposal options:
1. Yard and garden debris may be placed in your compost cart. Please keep in mind the maximum lift weight for the cart is 220 lb. (99 kg).
2. Excess yard material may be placed beside your compost cart. Leaves, garden material, etc. may be placed in open rigid containers or in paper yard bags. Bags and bundles must not weigh more than 50 lb. (22 kg). Twigs must be bundled (in bundles no longer than 4 ft (1.2 m) and weighing no more than 50 lb. (22 kg). Note: Stumps may be placed beside the compost cart (stumps larger than 15" (38 cm) go out on waste week, not with the compost cart).
IMPORTANT: Your collection driver will take up to 2 bags, bundles, stumps, or containers in addition to your cart during regular collection service.
